Papers, Please – Clearing Discrepancies:Audio Transcript, Fingerprint and Search

すべての不一致が直ちに否定されるわけではありません。一部の不一致は、口頭での陳述の修正、フィンガープリンティング、検索などのさらなる手順で解消される場合があります。クリアされた場合、不一致は存在しないかのように消えます (検査モードで同じ 2 つのアイテムが選択されている場合、「不一致がクリアされました」と表示されます)。他の不一致が存在しない場合、参加者は承認されます。台本なしの各参加者は、最大 1 つのクリア可能な不一致と最大 1 つの不明確な不一致を持つことができます。

目的と期間について

4日目以降、すべての外国人入国者は、旅行の目的と（移民、外交官、亡命者を除く）期間を尋ねられます。応募者の口頭での回答は、論文と一致している必要があります。そうでない場合、それは不一致であり、エントリはすぐに拒否される可能性があります (拒否の理由のスタンプが有効でない限り)。ただし、不一致を調査すると、参加者は常に正しい応答を返し、不一致が解消されます。

尋問するには:

• ブースの下部にあるマイクの下から音声トランスクリプトを引き出します。
• 検査モードに入ります (右下の「!」ボタン、スペース キー (ショートカットがインストールされている場合)、またはダブルクリック (ショートカットがインストールされている場合))。
• 音声記録の誤った記述と、入国許可またはアクセス許可の目的または期間フィールド、または外交許可または亡命許可全体 (目的のみを示すため) のうち、参加者の記述と一致しない方を強調表示します。
• 強調表示されているマイクをクリックします。

尋問は常に不一致を解消するため、却下理由スタンプが有効な場合、誤った陳述だけで応募者を適切に却下することはできません。

指紋

フィンガープリントは 4 日目から利用可能になります。これは、身元に関連する不一致、つまり不一致を解消するために使用できます。

• 名前。
• 写真。
• ハイツ。
• 外見の説明
• 異なる書類間、または書類と応募者の実際の姿の間のいずれか

さらに、亡命者には指紋採取が義務付けられています。

ヒント:参加者の身長は、矛盾することなく数センチずれている場合があります。また、写真や外観の説明を一致させる際に曖昧な点がある場合があります。疑わしい場合は、調べてください。

適格な不一致（または亡命者が入国の目的を述べている）を尋問した後、文書表示エリアの上部に「指紋」ボタンが表示されます。それを押して指紋テストを行います。指紋票が発行されますので、応募者に渡して指紋を記録していただきます。同時に、「M.O.A. ID レコード」が画面の下部から印刷され、既知の別名とともに、参加者のパスポートに記載されている人物のファイルにある指紋が表示されます。

重要！ ID レコードは、参加者が提出した指紋ではなく、パスポートの情報を使用して取得されます。

フィンガープリントは以下の間で一致する必要があります:

• 応募者が返却した指紋スリップ。
• ID レコード。
• ID 補足の拇印 (ある場合)。
• 庇護の付与 (ある場合)。

それらが一致しない場合は、個人情報の盗難および/または文書の偽造の可能性があるため、拘留可能な不一致となります。調査する一致しない指紋を強調表示します。

In addition, if multiple names appear on the entrant’s documents, the second name (i.e. the one not on the passport) should be listed on the Identity Record as an alias. If not, it is also a detainable discrepancy. Highlight the alias line on the Identity Record and the claimed second name to interrogate.

Search

The search function is available from day 7. It can screen the entrant for contraband when necessary or verify the entrant’s sex. Namely, it can be used to clear:

• Non-matching weight between the entrant and the citizen ID card, Identity Supplement, or Access Permit.
• Non-matching sex between the entrant’s appearance and the passport.
• Entrants of a particular country (when an order is in effect to search all entrants of that country due to suspicion of terrorist activity).

In the case of a weight discrepancy, highlight the weight shown on the scale in the bottom right corner of the booth and the weight shown on the document in inspect mode. In the case of a sex discrepancy, highlight the sex shown in the passport and either the entrant in the booth or any photo of the entrant. In the case of a targeted country, highlight the entire passport and the rule in the rulebook that entrants from that country must be searched.

Tip:The apparent sex of an entrant may be hard to tell. When in doubt, inspect.

A “Search” button will appear at the top of the document viewing area. Press it to do a search. A curtain in the booth will close, and a flashlight will flash twice to take a front and back scan. A full body image will print from the top. There are two sides to the image; click the arrows in the bottom corners to flip it around.

If any contraband (which appears in black) is shown, it is a detainable discrepancy for smuggling. Highlight the contraband and the rule “No weapons or contraband” in the rulebook to interrogate.

In addition, the sex of the entrant’s body shown must match that on the passport. Otherwise, it is a detainable discrepancy for possible identity theft and/or document forgery. Highlight the entire body and the sex shown on the passport to interrogate.

Note:By default, full nudity is shown on the images. Nudity can be disabled in the pause menu, and if so, underwear will be shown, and the sex of the entrant is indicated by the presence or absence of a bra.

Clearing Discrepancies is Optional

You don’t have to take steps to clear a discrepancy. Generally you may simply deny the entrant based on the apparent discrepancy.

Once you see the discrepancy, you may deny the entrant without interrogation if the Reason for Denial stamp is not in play. If it is in play, you must interrogate the discrepancy in order to bring out the Reason for Denial stamp, and a statement mistake is thereby cleared. Even if you do interrogate (other than on an audio statement), you can still deny the entrant based on the discovered discrepancy even though the fingerprint or search option is available. However, once you press the fingerprint or search button, you must carry out the action, as the discrepancy may thereby have been cleared. You cannot ignore the discrepancy-clearing fingerprint or search result and deny the entrant based on the original discrepancy.

This applies when entrants of a specific country is required to be searched. You can instantly deny all entrants from that country without searching them. This is because the rule is implemented as a clearable discrepancy.
